Rena was born on October 11 as the third of five children. His father is Made Beratha and his mother is Ketut Sukarti. Young Rena started to learn wood carving when he was in the third year of elementary school. His grandfather, an architect of traditional Balinese buildings who is also a senior carver, gave much support to the boy's carving and jewelry development. After graduating from elementary school in 1983, Rena's father introduced him to a famous silversmith in his village and young Rena began learning to craft silver jewelry on Sundays. Making use of his carving ability, he brings it to his silver work. He believes that one day his silver crafting will invite the interest of customers worldwide.

This cross was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, I replaced the cord with a sterling silver box chain. The cord was a little flimsy for a guys neck. The cross was thinner than I thought, but a nice design. It's a nice size for everyday. He loves it. I saw it somewhere else for a lot more than the original price. I got it on sale here a Amazon. I purchased three necklaces for my family and two out of the three fell apart at the clasp area where the leather braid is glued into the silver holder, which then lead to losing one of the silver crosses. I purchased three more as my boys love everything about the look and size and to give me back up for the third that is still together, just in case that comes apart. I'm super hopeful these hold up and will look for a stronger glue to make sure they do.

when my son requested a cross for a special chain he had received from his sister, it was quite a task to find just the 'right' one. It had to be a certain size, not too decorated yet not too simple as to lose its effect. After reading the Bio of Novica and the projects they find themselves collaborating in, it was easy to see that I had found the "right" one and he wears it without taking it off, so I guess it's a win/win.
