Regal elephants, carved by hand of smooth white cow bone, grace these earrings from Bali's Made Wardika. The artisan crowns the pachyderms with traditional Balinese bun (wire) and jawan (granule or dot) sterling silver motifs, as well as faceted lilac amethyst stones. The earrings sway on sterling silver hooks. The natural properties of sterling silver and amethyst define the unique beauty of each piece.

My designs are inspired by the rich cultures and art of Bali traditions.
I decided to work with you in the hopes that this would help expand my workshop and help my children go to school and and help me provide for their daily needs. My wife and a few family members have helped me in this project. We only use traditional tools like scissors,hammers, knives and chisels.My village also has artisans who make jewelry,but I design unique pieces that are inspired by Bali's art, culture and traditions.

Wardika comes from a village that specializes in bone carving, a traditional Balinese art that has been passed from generation to generation. Every day, he carefully studied and copied the techniques of the best carvers until he became their equal.
