I Love My Nixon Watches!

Stylish everyday wear watch. Cool black and gray color tone balance with the band. Comfortable to wear during work or sports activities. Great for the outdoors, I wore it in 100 degree weather and my wrist didn’t sweat, the band is resistant to moisture. Works great, since I’ve been in the sun a lot and it’s summer time. I’ll be curious to see how this is watch works during the colder months when I practice extreme quarantine with little to no sun. Anyone can wear this watch (he/him/she/her/they).. it’s cool for all!!

I was madly in love with this watch. Loved the color, loved the solar power feature, loved everything. Sure it would start to loose time if I was not outside enough. But I just decided that was a great reminder in the winter. I had the watch for 11 months. The knob you set the time with came off…I think while I was gardening. I think some water may have gotten in that open hole in the side. And now the watch is dead. I don’t spend that much money on myself often. I expected this to last much longer. I am incredibly disappointed. I would not buy a Nixon watch again.

I just don't like the fact that it takes 3-4 hours to power up.

I like this watch, but I'm not quite 100% sold on it.First, yes, it's extremely cool in a pared down, minimalist way. The small 37mm case has no features but a simple crown, and the dial is so uncluttered that it dispenses with numbers altogether, instead relying on 60 minute markers alone. The only unusual feature here is the double ended second hand. It's the second hand that doesn't quite work for me. OK, so it's a quirky piece of design, and to be fair it's rare that one would need to know the exact time to the second, but the double ended design makes it essentially useless as you don't know which end of the hand points towards the exact time. It's that style over substance thing that bothers me a little.Other than that, the strap seems comfortable enough. It felt a touch rough while putting the watch on, but now it's on my wrist I can't feel it at all.If you like the styling, go for it. This seems like a well made watch, and it's pretty cool that they've made something useful out of recycled ocean plastic. I'm not sure I'll get much wear out of mine, but it's nice to have it in the collection.

I immediately liked the clean, simple design of this watch. I don't have any black-faced watches so was anxious to receive this into my small watch collection. Besides the clean design, is the unusual seconds hands that so long it extends to the full width of the face and is both unique and eye-catching. The band is also an appealing design and is made out of recycled ocean plastic. Size, design and face are all very nice. My only annoyance is that it's a bit difficult to actually see the time. The hands could and perhaps should be more bold and white to see them especially in low light. The face is also extremely reflective so that makes it harder just to tell the time for the glare. So, yes, a nice watch I still am liking. But I cannot wholehearted recommend it due to the reflective issue. I have to adjust my viewing angle carefully, just see the simple time.

The media could not be loaded.  Hidden solar panels keep time! This watch is completely green. Love that it is from ocean plastic. The band doesn’t feel scratchy. I won’t say that the band is the most comfortable, but not super soft. The watch has a really good design and seems to work well even without direct sunlight. No batteries need to power this watch! The top ‘glass’ is made from mineral crystal and can resist some scratches. A really good attempt at going green. Nonetheless a really good four star review. Comfort could be improved and the ‘glass’ could be better. Very unique solar design! KudosTrust you found this review honest and helpful:-)
