Having reviewed a few black pearls recently, I wasn't exactly expecting this one to blow me away. I can't say it did that exactly, but it is nicer than expected. The pearl is real. I can't tell you freshwater vs salt, but since they're claiming freshwater, I see no reason to doubt that. The color is good, the gloss is decent (not top tier but this isn't a top tier price), and I can't find any needling, pitting, or other flaws, even under light magnification.The pendant and chain are both marked 925, and neither is magnetic (other than the clasp, which is normal and expected because the springs inside should not be sterling).The CZs are fine but kind of underwhelming. I'd much rather have seen moissanites in this piece - it's otherwise such nice quality that the relatively flat CZs aren't doing it any favors.
