about item
  • ✔ COLLECTIBLE - The genuine United States Bicentennial Eisenhower Dollar was minted for only two years, 1975 and 1976. This renowned Dollar coin honors President Dwight D. Eisenhower along with man’s first landing on the moon. The Eisenhower Dollar was the first circulating Dollar to honor a specific person. Chief U.S. Mint Engraver Frank Gasparro created the distinctive profile of America’s 34th President. The dollar’s reverse depicts the Liberty Bell superimposed on the moon.
  • ✔ QUALITY & DETAIL - The 50th Anniversary coin is layered in pure 24 KT gold. The obverse is then colorized using a special ink process to guarantee a lasting image. The special edition coin displays the historic image of the astronaut and American Flag on the moon. The vibrant color on the obverse and the pure gold showing on the reverse make this a coin to cherish whether in a collection or as a historic piece of memorabilia.

It IS poor workmanship. It was to be a gift for an anniversary. Not sure I want to gift it. Front is an astronaut sticker over a coin. Poor metal work. Plastic inside. Battery was dead when we tried to get it to work. NOT HAPPY!

I really REALLY wanted to like this. I tried talking myself into keeping it anyway, but it's just bad.It does have a redeeming feature in that the case is very solidly made, that's the only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 1.Firstly, as the headline states, it arrived DOA. The paperwork inside specified that the battery was kept from draining by having a little plastic piece holding the crown open so it wouldn't run down the battery. The plastic piece in question, however, was nowhere to be found and the battery had clearly gone flat.A piece of paper was also included that said to replace the battery. The case was easily opened with my almost non-existent thumbnail to reveal the entirety of the watch. About the size of a dime, held in place by a plastic lattice structure. I don't know why, but that disappointed me.My second issue is that the painted face of the watch actually felt pretty cheap, as if it were a vinyl sticker. My third and biggest issue is the loop at the top of the watch to which the fob attaches. The holes for the loop were drilled asymmetrically and NOT where they were clearly intended to be drilled and the loop looked to have been INTENTIONALLY twisted and bent to accommodate the misdrilled holes.I can see why the watch was 50% off, but nothing in the description stated that it was discounted because I'd be getting a watch with a flat battery and poor workmanship. However, if you're OK with that, I'm packing it up and sending it back and you can order it, as well.
