Purchased as a birthday gift for a six year old girl. I looked at other bracelets that were age appropriate but they all seemed so cheaply constructed that buying a "big girl" bracelet was the only thing that made sense to me. The bracelet length is too long for her wrist at this time, but I also bought a double claw clasp to shorten it so that she can start wearing it and collecting charms for it now. As another reviewer pointed out, the letter is a bit off center but this is due to the font, and because it's the letter M, this isn't terrible. Because it's made of stainless steel, it's not going to age poorly and it would take a lot of effort to destroy it. She's an active kid, so the sturdiness of the thing was definitely a selling point.
