The following is my review of the ring being advertised and sold on Amazon as: 1 carat Moissonite/ silver ring, sent to me gratis as part of the Amazon Vine Voice program for review. Amazon Vine seeks to spotlight some of their lovely products that may not be receiving the attention and reviews they should for whatever reason. The above images were taken by me of this ring in direct sunlight. It is indeed a beautiful, sparkly ring. The presentation is also top notch. It is obvious that this is a jewelry product that everyone involved cares about takes seriously, which is nice to see. The ring arrived housed in what looked to me like a cushion-y satin jewelry box very much like those used by the Tiffany corporation. It was also sent with a hard plastic card with the letters GRA and a seal and warranty number in order to register the ring. The center stone presents as a colorless or near colorless one carat radiant cut, surrounded by a rectangular “halo” of tiny, colorless faceted accent stones. The center stone appears to be well cut and polished, at least I can’t see any flaws in either cut or clarity. The setting is made of a silver colored metal with the stamp S925 on the inside of the band. I know very little about Moissonite. I can’t find any reference to it in either my gem faceting books by Vargas, a first ever that they did not list something gem related that I’ve looked up, nor can I find reference to Moissonite in my hard copy 90’s era GIA literature, books, and gem grading equipment sent to me when I took the GIA colored stones course way back when the Internet was in its infancy for public consumption. When I visited the GRA website, it appeared to me that they still had to flesh out their website, despite a handsome introduction. I think the ring is delicate and beautiful, very “classy” looking. Particularly with the packaging, the very pretty box and cleaning cloth that accompanies it, I think it looks very giftable.
