It is a gift for my Husband's birthday. He has been wanting a miraculous medal but most seemed too feminine. This one is a nice balance because of the black, and the black helps the words to stand out much better. Also, most medals lost the sharpness of Mary's figure as they get smaller in size. This one kept her beauty.

i needed a simple replacement of a miraculous medal which had been my father's. he'd had it from my earliest memories. though of no monetary value it was stolen from my house, along with other jewelery --18 years after his death.took me a while to look for a replacement. honestly this was more money than i expected to pay but i could not be more pleased. i received the necklace yesterday. it is perfect. the quality is on par or surpasses the monetary cost. simple and unassuming but the weight of the medallion and apparent strength of the chain make me feel confident it will last and hold up to being worn constantly. i'm not going to often take this one off. god bless everyone.
