Hi all. It seems a lot of people are having issue with the pin. I learned this myself from a tailor, but the reason "the pin bent" or "was flimsy" is because this IS NOT suppose to puncture the fabric of the shirt. There are actual shirts made specifically with holes in the lapel for these types of accessories, called an "eyelet collar shirt".Please think about this before purchasing this type of accessory!!

Tip ended up breaking off and pin bent as I pushed it through a shirt.

It has a needle to pin to the collar, but only on one side. Of course you don't find out until you test it and realize that the dull side it loose. Then you spend a good 10 minutes trying to get it back into the thing-a-ma-jig. Unfortunately, both sides of the chain are made for a needle end, so you end up struggling to get the dull end back in. Also there is no way to know which side is which, so this is a struggle you could have everytime you use it.
