Unlike a lot of watches that typically have a monocolored band, having a darker wood finish in the center makes the watch feel like it was handcrafted. The gold is also a darker gold, so it makes the wood look so much richer. Overall, I'd say this watch definitely looks fancy. The box it comes in is a wooden box with a grainy type pillow, so I'd say it might be a bit odd to gift in that specific box , so I'd say it makes a good watch for personal wear, especially preppy casual to even business professional wear.
