I've always wanted to find a subdued designed cross necklace for my brother-in-law, to mimic the one that I found for myself a while ago.He has always complimented me on it, and said that he hoped he could fine a similar one for himself.So when I came across this necklace, I immediately thought of him, and how genuinely he consistently complimented me on the wear and appearance of mine. Him and his wife really helped support my daughter's collegiate journey, through their visits, phone calls, gifts and prayers, and I wanted to give him something special as a memento of his vested interests and acts towards his niece's profound success throughout her collegiate tenure.This necklace was the cake topper of thankyou gifts given to our friends and family that helped support her along the way. The cross pendent is really cool and it has some weight to it, I'm not a huge fan of the chain very light and feels cheap. It gets the job done though.

The cross is generally well made. The surgical steel is heavy. The texturing and inlay are well done. I really like the overall design, texture, and inlay.I wanted to love this, but ultimately it falls a little short.* First, the blue inlay - which is very prominent in the product photos - is only visible as blue from very specific angles. At all other angles, it appears as black. I took one photo capturing the blue, but the other photos are more typical.* The inlay isn't buffed flush on the edges. In fact, since the edges are angled a bit, the inlay is rather sharp where it protrudes. Rubbing a thumb across the edges, I can clearly feel the sharp edges on each of the 6 exposed points (the 2 at the top are somewhat guarded by the ring).* The chain is almost 3mm box chain. Bright silver. Not subtle. It seems awkwardly bright in comparison to the black cross.

This is a good, sturdy necklace! After a few days of wearing, there are no defects of any sort visible to me. The chain is good, and the cross itself is sturdy and looks as good in person as it does on the product image.
