This is a nice pocket watch for the price. The time is very accurate and I love the lid. I have a great time opening it and snapping it shut -- when I have nothing else to do! LOL It's kind of old-fashioned looking, which is a positive thing to me. The time is very easy to read. Overall, I really like it.

Update: Experience has caused me to alter my opinion of this product. The cheap plating is wearing off, leaving the copper-colored base metal exposed. This is happening on both the chain and the watch itself. The watch keeps very accurate time and appears well made. I have only two issues with it. The second hand moves in discreet steps rather than continuously. That's okay except it stops between the tick marks rather than on them, as it should. Admittedly a minor thing. More of an issue is the clasp used to attach the watch to the chain. It is not well made and, because of the design, it catches on the seam threads in my watch pocket and hangs up. Since the chain is seldom if ever removed from the watch, a screw-type lock or similar design would be an improvement.

This quartz watch has kept perfect time since I first set it. Originally, I had thought to use it as a watch to carry while I was working outside and playing golf. It would be easier to read in bright sunlight. All that was true, but it is also very handsome. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

I set this watch twice after receiving it. Both times after 25 minutes the time had only advanced 5 minutes. I really wanted this watch to work, because it looks great...but it was returned.UPDATE: I ordered another, just in case I got the one in a million problem. New watch runs great...and looks fantastic. Company reached out to make sure I was happy with the replacement and if now they would make it right for me. Really surprised! Happy Gotham Watch customer.

EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED!I bought it as a gift for my husband and he loved it!It's just right size, and doesn't feel heavy in his pockt. It looks exactly as it did in the photos on line.It's has a very precise and easy to read dial.It is just what he wanted.

My brother retired and I gave him this watch because his next job is as an engineer on a theme park rail road. Looks good and seems to run well. They are not allowed to have cell phones due to distraction so this has to be his time piece. He has used it for a few weeks now says it runs great and gets great comments when he pulls it out of his bibs and checks the time. All Aboard!

I ordered this stopwatch after researching all Amazon offerings. My budget was $100, and reliability was the number one concern. There are many cheap stopwatches out there, some of them fairly nice looking, but usually the low-end models are made in China and - I own three of them - unfortunately not reliable, at least in my experience. My preference was a manual-winding mechanism, however the reputable Japanese movement is what sold me here. The watch is relatively accurate indeed, about 5 seconds fast a month. The chain is solid and the clip sturdy. The watch itself has a clear, simple dial, with a red seconds hand, which I like. Both the hour and minutes hands are lumed, but unfortunately the result is disappointing: even if you hold the watch under a bright light for ten seconds, the hands barely glow in the dark. The front and the back of the watch are the same, and it is therefore not immediately clear which side is the lid. Artwork on the front and/or back would have gone a long way to make the watch more attractive.
