Love this watch except for the glass face. It doesn't take any kind of abuse well. It fell one time on the ground and the face shattered. Invest a little more money and get something more rugged. Waiting on RipCurl to see if they'll do anything about it.

I LOVE this new Rip Curl tide watch. I have the Maui Mini in the same colour and I love that too but felt like I needed a more modern look so I went for this. Everything is the same layout with the buttons, except they're more responsive than the Maui and easier to push. The white on black screen is okay, but harder to see than the black on white of the Maui, the light saves this. The only thing I wish was still there was the little safety thing on the strap. I think previously, Nixon supplied Rip Curl with their straps and it had a kind of locking system so the strap didn't accidentally come undone. It worked very well. This new watch doesn't have that and occasionally it does come undone. Not to the extent that the watch falls off, but I am cautious that I could lose it in a wipeout. Overall, lovely, but miss the Nixon strap.

Nice Rip Curl Next Tide Watch. Easy to see and read tide info in the water without my reading glasses!I got a Casio G-Shock GBX100 in mid summer and I just can't read the tide info when I'm in the water making it worthless to me.
