Excellent and reliable quartz movement. Wish the case diameter was 38mm, but it feels/wears smaller than its 40mm case diameter size. Love that the case is all stainless steel; Timex uses grade 304, wish Timex used 316L grade stainless steel. I get more compliments on this than I do my Raymond Weil pieces that cost over $1k. You can't go wrong with the Timex Q for and all purpose, everyday watch.

Whole lot of watch for an affordable price. Received many compliments on it already.

The face is not as big as I thought it would be but probably just fine. We'll see how it holds up diving. My trusted Casio dive watch leaked and was ruined on my last dive trip. Was very dismayed.

let me start out by saying i'm a watch collector who started getting valjoux 7750 (automatic) chronographs in the early 2000s and they were my favorite watch. however, not only do they start at $1200 these days, just to service them every 5 or so years is $400. so i stopped collecting those and went to simple diver watches. but the love of a chrono on my wrist stayed within, and honestly this gorgeous Timex chrono is the next best thing to slapping down $1200 and shelling out $400 every 5 years. sure, there are other quartz chronos out there, but Timex has been going back to past designs to inspire their reeditions, and this one certainly hits that mark. i normally want an hour totalizer with a chrono, but this has a moving bezel that can be used for that in analog fashion. also, the GMT hand is, while not needed by me, another fun feature. as it sits on my wrist now this classic 70s looking piece is as fun to have on as any of my $1000 Swiss divers. this is just a super fun watch. it's able to time anything for fun, with the moving bezel or chrono timer (which hits the second markers right on by the way!). the quality and cosmetics are first rate, and the amazon price is insane. even if you're not a quartz fan this is a must. i used to be a mechanical snob, but wonderful and affordable watches like this have won me over.

Though I’ve developed horological appreciation over time, I don’t review watches mainly because I’m far from an expert, nor am I an enthusiast. However, what compelled me to review the Timex Three-Time Zone Chronograph is the seemingly (and disappointingly) split reviews.First, the critiques include perceptions that the dial is too busy—three sub-dials, date window, and logo/branding placement. Next, it “tries to do too much” without satisfyingly succeeding in anything it’s trying to do: The chronograph push buttons ‘click’ only when starting and resetting, but not when stopping the hand. The GMT operation is based off a 12-hour friction bezel rather than a 24-hour set-up, requiring an different way and more time-consuming way to track time zones and dates. For some, even just one of the above criticisms became a deal-breaker.Well… here it is still staying on my wrist! What appealed to me instantly was the design, integrated bracelet styling, and offered features, all at a fair price point (even better with discount offers). The mentioned shortcomings and inconveniences fortunately did not outweigh my preferences. I’m siding with the camp that believes the timepiece looks good, wears well, does a lot creatively well-enough for functional utilization, and comes from a reputable watch brand. Bonus points for the convenient battery latch!A half star was removed because the criticisms do hold merit (though less to me), and another half star was removed because the band is still too long despite having removed all removable links—the bracelet did “fit” but not enough to my preferred configuration on my 6.5” wrist (a really shortened 6 o’clock side, with a really extended 12 o’clock side).I’m less of a fan of quartz movement, but this model really managed to sway me!
