This watch exceeded my expectations even after reading the comments. As an aviator this watch will ensure you don't miss the time hack, and is visible night and day. Last week, I took a picture and noticed after the flight the seconds displayed in the aircrafts GPS time was matched exactly with the second hand of the watch....wow. Anyone who needs accurate timing and practical uses while looking sharp Should consider this piece. As an aside I know many folks don't care for the band, but I actually prefer it. It's awesome! I can't stop looking at this time piece! If I ever need a replacement it will be the same model!Update 7 Years Later:I've flown all over the world, in all types of aircraft with this watch and it keeps perfect time to the second still with the atomic clock radio update. I was able to update in parts of Africa (not always), The Middle East/Aisa, and in Hong Kong, and across Europe. It's survived quite a bit, hard duty flying on and off ships at sea, (the Radar has fried multiple other Casios for reference which is why I bought this because of the certified ANTIMAG 4800 spec, it didn't fall short of that spec or it would have been fried like my previous Casios) It survived a road bike, and hard landing/Crash (from an engine failure prior to landing)The crystal has been scratched and I took it to a jeweler to be cleaned and get a citizen original band for the same model I even tried ordering direct from Citizen but was unsuccessful. I've gone through 2 other Barton bands which have a good look. The glass we couldn't get the deeper scratches out, it's not a hardened sapphire but if that is my only complain than I'm doing pretty good. It still doesn't look too bad though, picture on the wrist attached.Even today I looked at the GPS system time in the aircraft and the watch was perfectly in sync to the second.Due to the nostalgia I have from traveling with this watch I think I might elect to retire it, but for the cost I doubt I can do much better. I suspect for good luck on next check rides etc. I will break this watch out and be the same old friend by my side as it has for the years since purchase. I know that it will continue to be as reliable as the air beneath my wings.I HIGHLY encourage if you are thinking about the watch to buy it. It IS a beauty, while being a silent steward that never gives up and is precise while enduring the unreal adventure that you might be thinking of starting next.

Where to start? Technology, style, function. It covers so many bases. Highly recommend

I have been eyeing this watch and was patient for the past three years. I think I got the best deal on the whole wide web at any given point through this watch's sale. This is an incredible timepiece that is must to be part of your watch collection. First things first it is it has an incredibly big watch face at 48mm. Something like the offering from Diesel or the Seiko Lords series. So if you have wrist size 6 or less you should pass on this one. Another over six works great. This bad boy catches people's attention right off the bat. If you appreciate the incredible engineering that has gone into designing and providing the functionality in this watch. It is probably the only watch on the market which provides so many features in the given price range. Atomic time keeping and eco drive means your watch is essentially going to be maintenance free and accurate with atomic radio sync taking place every day at 2am in the morning. World time is another feature along with the digital display coupled with analog to give it that extra edge in terms of functionality. If you still appreciate the aesthetics of a classic analog watch this will be an incredible addition to your collection. Lastly there is one major disadvantage that might be a deal breaker for a lot of people. The watch face houses a mineral crystal instead of sapphire glass that is the norm these days for any high end watches. So the watch face scratches easily. You can have citizen change your watch face for under $100 but yes this face will scratch easily. So you can't be carefree with this one. Absolute must to have go ahead get this. Best investment you'll make and the resale value on the watch is also incredible. So it'd be easy to offload the watch if you do get bored after a couple of years.

This is an amazing watch. Agree, there is something to do with the strap, but the thought of not bundling it with multiple straps and wasting resources is something I like. It takes few cuts to have a good fit, cut it on either side on block at a time and see if they fit.Other option, give it to a watch repairer and he should do it few mins. Or buy other strap’s available in the market, there are many cheap and reliable ones.Overall happy with the watch.
