I'm not supposed to have a phone on the production floor at work, so I wanted a watch. I'm not a flashy person and enjoy simplistic, analog, and military design. I'm horrible with dates and days, so that was the only complication I wanted. And numbers. Real numbers. Big numbers so I can see them. And accurate, no cheap junk I have to reset every week. Lastly, affordable. I work for a living and it may get banged up, so I don't need extravagance. That took me to good old fashioned Casio, and since I'm 6'6" at 300 pounds, the size of this watch first grabbed my eye when I filtered the sizes. Bingo! Ticked every box - get it? Watch humor. So, perfect match. One complaint and one thing to watch out for - yet another pun! Single complaint is the mineral dial face seems like acrylic mineral, because it sure scratched easy. But, I whack it into sharp steel, so I can't really fault it. And when the directions say pull the stem out only when the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position to set time, they mean it. Elsewise the numbers and hands don't align properly. Easy fix, but sent me loopy for a few days. The day of the week is a dual flip/language setup, it'll rotate two flips each day, so you can set English or French I think. If there's not 31 days in the month, you'll have to bump the date - thank you February. No big, normal for the style. All in all, a great watch at a great value, and I rate it according to it's niche. It's not a hand made Swiss platinum timepiece. It also doesn't cost $200k. A great normal person watch, and you can always trust Casio.
