Absolutely love the watch. It looks great, extremely durable, and has an interesting history at a great price. I liked it so much I ended up buying an amphibia as well. In terms of winding it’s a lot easier if you face the crown towards the ground so that there is always outward pressure as you wind.

Good watch, This is my first Vostok watch. It came with a cheap black leather watch strap and another nato strap that was worthless but I ordered another better quality strap and I was in a nice weekend watch. No convenient calendar adjustment on this watch so if you are 10 or so days behind you need to manually turn the watch minute hand the right date but I knew that before buying the watch. Otherwise it functions great and very satisfying to hand wind. Cannot beat the price for a well manufactured reliable time piece that requires little maintenance.

I love this watch. I get complimented on it often. It's accurate, but you do have to hand wind it every day or two.

I like the fact it's a mechanical watch. And the price point is good and all. But there is no way you can use the natural band that comes with the watch. It will no stay fastened and I ordered and red and black and got just black. Now I gotta go out and find one that's better quality. I am certain in Russia these watches are produced pennies on the dollar.

The media could not be loaded.  I have had this watch for about a month, I love it and it continues to grow on me. It has a lot of personality packed in. The bezel looks great, although it does not click, I love the bi-directional rotation. It has a nice friction to it as well. The domed crystal adds a really cool overall effect to this watch. I love winding it up every morning, like bring life into it. The watch does gain about 25s/d. This might bother some but the watch can easily be regulated. I found a number of youtube videos showing how to regulate these watches easily at home.

I mean it is okay…. But it is terrible to wind and no matter how much I wind it the reserve only lasts around a day if that. I was a little disappointed in the purchase. But it is a good watch in all actuality but I think I am not going to buy from this brand anyone more. I think that one is good enough.

Nothing to dislike here. I think it gains a couple seconds per day, but since you need to wind it daily...that doesn't matter. I found out at work that the acrylic crystal is very scratch resistant. I'm thoroughly pleased with this purchase, as this watch is accurate and we'll built. It's the Russian equivalent of the old mechanical Citizen...if batteries become hard to get, then I'm confident that I'll have a good track of time.
