This review is for the Timex Ironman Black/Red accent. The watch is typical band, that rubbery feel band. Comfort is fine to me. Style wise, I picked this over several less appealing styles. its not totally circular, or squarish. It should be fairly easy to clean, and I usually wipe it down once a week or so. Will fit as long as your arm isnt as beefy as Popeye.Setting time in theory is simple, no instructions needed. Was a little tricky though, as I was using my phone as reference to try and set exactly. Problem is getting used to the button and which to press when. I spent a good 5min alone navigating the time setings, until I could get within 15 seconds of the phones time and finally set it.Setting the Month/Day was similar to time, but obviously easier because you arent trying to set to match down to seconds as close as possible.I do wish the indiglo backlight was a bit stronger at least. Its worthless during day time obviously. In dark, is useable, but feels too dim in my opinion. I suppose its to ensure it doesnt waste battery power, but I am not so worried about wasting power for a watch.I have not setup the alarms so have no comment on them.Price wise, style, useablity, and compared to similar priced equivalents, its a buy

I was looking for a sports watch that can also work great as a daily driver. Wouldn't even consider a G-Shocks, as I'm ex-military, and G-Shocks just remind me of the service. So... Ended up buying this little watch, and it really is much better than a G-Shock. Pros:1. The watch is 38 mm and fits perfectly on my 6.1" wrist.2. Strap is comfortable.3. Legibility is great, large readable digits.4. Has 3 alarm clocks, each with a different tone.5. Lights keep working as long as you're pressing buttons. That means you can finish setting whatever you need, without needing to press for lights again. Lights turn off several seconds after last press.6. Buttons are large and comfortable.7. Helps me use my smartphone less, as I'm not reaching for it anymore to tell the time and set timers.8. Unused features can be completely turned off, so they don't clutter the interface.Cons-1. Alarm clock is pretty loud. But I'm a deep sleeper, and I don't completely trust it to wake me up. Maybe if I set all 3 alarms consecutively, it might wake me up.2. Rarely, the strap pinches my arm hair.3. The occasion mode is pretty useless now that we have smartphones (But can be completely turned off).Overall really impressed with this watch, all the features feel really well thought out. I would highly recommend buying.

I purchased this watch in January of 2018, and I have worn it 24 hours a day every day since I got it. It's still in great shape, with only one very tiny scratch on the face of the watch that isn't easily noticed. The band is in perfect condition. You would never know this watch has been worn constantly for 6 years. And because I don't take it off, it has been proven to be fully waterproof with no problems since I got it.Excellent watch, and I definitely will purchase another one when/if I eventually need to replace my current one.

This watch is amazing. Is very functional. Water resistant, I never took it off even when I am I the shower or in the sea. Have 3 alarms, Chrono, timer an occasional alarm , back light and have the date with month and week day. For the alarm you can choose between work days, weekends or all days. It's not particularly fashionable but it gets the job done. You will never going to think about the battery because this watch can handle for 10 years! yes 10 years. Is affordable and it's a very good replacement for smart watches when you want to go minimalistic. I am very happy with it. Is my everyday watch.

I have purchased many Timex watches over the years and I am entirely satisfied with this watch. I always buy the sports watch, as I swim and do triathlons.Things I like about the watch:*Setting the watch is easy and the instructions are clear (although the printed instructions are very small!)* The watch is not too big. So many watches have too many features and they are large, bulky, and heavy. This watch is sleek, has a low profile, and has a size that is ideal for average needs.* The numbers are big enough to see easily at a glance.* There are enough useful options, and this watch is not overloaded with too many options. Too many options are confusing to me. I like the simplicity of this watch and the ease of use of the options it has.* I like the plastic watch band. I have tried the velcro strap bands and they wear out after a year or so of use. The plastic band will eventually break, but is fairly easy to replace.* I like the price. At less than 35 dollars I have everything I need in a watch.* I like and use frequently the Indiglo feature. I have even used Indiglo to find my way to the bathroom at night from bed! The light on the dial is bright enough to make your way through the dark for a short trip!Things I don't like:There is not much I don't like about this Timex watch. I suppose my biggest complaint about this watch and any Timex watch is the difficulty in changing the battery. The battery will eventually need replacement, and of course one has to take off the back of the watch to replace the battery. This is tricky and takes a steady hand. I wish Timex would make the battery more accessible so changing the battery would be as easy as sliding one in or out of a hinged door (like on a hearing aid).Obviously, there is much more to like about this watch than not like. I do recommend it for a good sport watch. It will withstand chlorine pools, lake water, rainfall, high and low temperatures, but be careful not to scratch the dial window! I scratched the main window crystal and ruined my last watch. Avoid spraying any kind of bug repellant on the window as well, as this can mar (dull) the surface. For me, this watch meets all my needs and I give it a 5-star rating. My needs are faily simple. There are certainly other watches that offer more features, but to me, the added features add complexity and are not worth the added bother. The price is good. The watch is good quality. This is a good buy.Jim "Konedog" Koenig
