This is the 2nd watch I have purchased just like this one. They are built to last, the only reason I am replacing the older one is I tried changing the battery and cannot get the back to go on securely. The watch hand is a good size and very easy to read.

I have worn Timex watches for over 30 years. I finally had to replace my last watch after 6 years because the band was a little loose, and the watch face was at the bottom of my wrist not over it. I was using the palm of my hand to pound a piece of my truck's steering column into place and the watch took a hit... shattering the crystal. Not the watch's fault.I was looking to replace it of course, but I was eyeballing something a bit more expensive, a Citizen. It was a low-end watch for the brand (about $80) but I was looking for something different. I was nearly ready to order it but then decided to have one last look at the Timex watches... then is dawned on me. The Citizen does not have Timex's Indiglo feature, or similar.. just glow-in-the-dark hands. That's when I decided to go for another Timex. I actually use the Indiglo feature a lot, and it's much easier to read in the dark or low light than glow-in-the-dark hands.I stuck with a brand I know and trust and I paid half as much. None of my Timex watches ever cost more than $50. They are just rock solid and very inexpensive for an attractive, every day timepiece. As you can see in the photo there are already some light scratches on the bezel. That's because I wear my watch 24/7, and I am always doing something in my workshop or outside. It's going to get some bumps and bruises. It's a tool for me, not jewelry.

Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

The watch is ok. Nothing too special. The iconic indiglo is a good feature to have but there isn't anything special about the watch itself. The strap in particular feels so cheap and cracks easily. The plus side of this watch is that the style/color of the dial and case go with soooo many different style of straps. Wanna dress up casually? A NATO looks great on it. Wanna dress up a bit? A nice leather band works on it too. The watch itself is very versatile. The lug to lug measurement is a bit large too so it does carry a little larger than a 40mm.

This handsome timepiece looks every bit the part of a night out on the town to a 12 hour work shift.
