I was looking for a watch with a brown strap that had a somewhat timeless look. I almost went for a chronograph just because I love the way they look but for the price on this watch I couldn't pass it up. This is a nice addition to my very small collection and it's my first automatic. I only wear it once or twice a week but setting the time and date only takes 30 seconds so it's not a big deal. I first thought the inscription on the band was cheesy but the more I thought about the words "without liberty life is a misery" the more I wanted the watch. The inscription adds a little flair to an otherwise simple yet sophisticated watch. The band has variations in the brown color so this watch can be paired with light brown shoes/belt as well as dark burgundy / oxblood shoes/belt. It fits well and looks great.

I have a small collection (small by my definition--my wife disagrees) of 40+ mechanical watches. This one is one of my favorites. I held off on ordering it because I wasn't sure I would like the clasp on the strap. I'm not a fan of the deployant clasp that folds into the middle of itself. I have small wrists and those tend to bite me. The one on this strap is very comfortable.The strap itself is as beautiful as the watch. My watch is off by 2 seconds in 24 hours. That's great! I'm looking forward to seeing how it settles in.I recommend this watch.

The hands are hard to read as there is little contrast. I need my reading glasses. This is not typically the case with other watches I have.

The watch band is not that good it will not stable on your hand and if you make it tight a little bit you will not feel comfortable.

Nice looking watch but plan on setting the date and time daily. I wear it to work every day then take if off at night. By the next morning the time is no longer correct.
