Update: Apr. 1st 202111 months of service. Still functioning well. Zero complaints. (It does seem to gain about 30 seconds a month.) Easily worth $16. I just ordered another one in black.Version: Camo / GreenPurchase Date: Apr. 21st, 2020Delv. Date: Apr. 29th, 2020Initial Impressions: Large, easy to read display area. Camo is well executed and doesn’t look cheesy. Case feels fairly rugged and durable. Band is soft, pliable, and comfortable but doesn’t feel too flimsy. It was easy to set. I didn’t have to look at the instructions until I couldn’t figure out how to change it from 24 hour (military time) mode to AM/PM mode. I was looking for a way to change the mode while I was setting the time and date, but it turned out to be very simple. You hit the top right button to toggle between the two time display modes. That’s a pretty neat feature in my mind. In my profession I interact with people who use 24HR time, but most often its with people who use AM/PM time. It’s nice to be able to refer back and forth at the press of a button. I also couldn’t figure out how to set the weekday initially but once I entered the date and the correct year, it changes to the correct weekday automatically. I put it on and mowed the lawn. No issues. I left it on to take a shower, because I wanted to know it could handle at least that much moisture. If it turns out not to be submersible, at $15 I’ll forgive it. I have dive watches for that environment. No moisture got into the watch during my shower. Some may not know that you never want to press any of your buttons while a watch is submersed even if it’s waterproof. I don’t press buttons even if it’s just wet or I’m in a very high-humidity environment. That may have been an issue with negative reviews. I also see negative comments about the lens being easy to scratch. I have expensive watches that have scratched lenses now. If you slam a plastic lens into something, yes, it’s going to scratch. This lens is recessed, but barely, so either be mindful of swinging your arms around, or don’t, and take comfort in knowing you aren’t beating up an expensive watch.Update: May 5th, 2020Again, I want to know what this watch will handle and preferably before I order an all black one. I took it camping Friday through Sunday. It got rained on. I got the Jeep bound up on a 7 inch diameter log and had to chop it out of my suspension and brake system with a hatchet. It took almost an hour. The watch held up to the shock/impact of that and banging it into the undercarriage a few times while trying to remove the log. I packed up camp in the rain and again had no issues with moisture getting into the case. So far I’m pretty impressed.

Had to buy two throughout my year working in the Conservation Corps but I put them both through mud, sand, dirt, wore em swimming dozens of times, wear it in the shower every day. My first one broke four miles out in the woods, one of the pins holding it onto the band fell out so I replaced it with a stick but then the band broke on the other side :/Still wear the second one though and it shows no sign of wear besides a couple scuffs

My son absolutely loves this watch. It is very well made and holds up under extreme pressure. (He is currently in basic training.) This watch is way more than “basic” and the price is astounding with how amazing the product is.

great watch. thicker than i thought but my wrist is short. love the green light!

The watch band pins break after a year or so. This is my second one and I won't buy another. Also, static electricity created when I take off a shirt makes the time reset to 12. Very frustrating.

Controls are intuitive. Large face means I can read it without glasses, especially at night with the very bright light.

...the display is awful -- every difficult to read at all unless you look at it immediately head on and even then the display is pale and hardly what I would call acceptable. The thing that is most annoying to me is that the image they show onsite is NOT what the watch display looks like in real life; it it were, I would be fine with it, but it's not, ant that, to me is deceptive. In reality it does have a black background, but the numbers are NOT white as shown, but are a very dark orange color with low contrast which is bad enough, but the to make matters worse, you need to be look directly at the numbers, and I mean DIRECTLY. Move slightly off axis to the left or right (when you glance at your watch you rarely are looking directly at it with you nose pointed directly at the center of the dial. Look at it at any angle and the number which were hard enough to see, become even more difficult to see, in fact, just by moving my wrist to the left or right, I could get the number to almost disappear.Yes, the watch does have a lighted screen that you need activate with one of the buttons on the side of the watch, and they, yes, the numbers light up a very nice, bright blue green, but even that button is hard to press (strong spring), so to glance at your watch to see the time, you need to have both hands free to reach over to push that button. To me, this was unacceptable enough that I decided to return the watch. And believe me, I am a very tolerant, not a persnickity perfectionist type; I would much rather not have to trudge out to the Amazon locker to return this, but it really is that bad, at least for me. I am not saying anything with the workings or quality of the working of the clock's accuracy -- it's a very nice looking design -- very masculine, (you know bragging about how it can go down to some absurd water pressure for those macho men who feel the need to go deep sea diving every morning after jogging 110 kilometers). All of that is fine, it's just the display that is simply too difficult to read without pressing the backglow button. When you want to nonchalantly glance at your watch, you don't want to have to reach your arm over to your other hand and press a button, or hold the watch up to your nose so you can read the numerals. Nope. The button I am hitting right now is the RETURN ITEM button.
