This “Only the Brave” watch is just that ... you’ve got to be brave to even *think* you can carry it off. Personally, it’s way too large for me (check those measurements), but it’s got to be one of the coolest watches I’ve ever seen. It’s absolutely amazing and, in my book, looks more like a regular clock than a watch. It’s seriously huge with a face that is a full 2-1/4” in diameter. Even the case blew me away as it’s almost 1/2” thick. Aside from the fact that the watch isn’t “for me,” so to speak, it’s a stunner.The face of this watch is literally alive with activity, albeit so much activity that it’s a bit crowded. For example, when I went to set the date and time, I set the time incorrectly. I corrected myself when I saw that the Twelve, One, and Two were spelled out. This is the type of watch that’s fun to play with and experiment with. I watched a few online videos to get an idea of how satisfied individuals were with Diesel watches after a time. Everyone seems to be ultra-pleased and eventually are obviously finding the features easier to work with.The watch is a very unusual, high-quality one and very distinctive. I can’t diss a watch because it’s not my style (it isn’t). The band has a very retro look to it with thick brown leather, riveted together around the watch pin. Everything on the dial is well-proportioned and almost has a Steampunk look, the very thing that attracted me to it. I’d actually like to see a more compact version of the Diesel, but then again it wouldn’t be “Diesel.” The directions are clear, but I was confused a bit at first because the book doesn’t include directions specific to this model.All in all, the final call is that this is an awesome watch for a very specific audience. I would have liked to see better directions for a couple of reasons. One of course is ease of use and secondly sometimes when setting a chronograph it’s a bad idea to set it during certain hours. Decent cautionary notes (as in red) would prevent someone from doing a bit of damage to the gears. Not much tweaking needed save in the instructions. Other than that I think it’s a wicked interesting watch that I’ll love, but not wear.

I'm not really a showy person, but when you are wearing a Diesel watch there is something it does for your confidence level knowing you are wearing a timepiece that is meant to last.I love the ease of use and the features that make it stand out. The price point makes it something that not everyone will be able to afford, but I will say that the fact that it is designed to be durable as well as attractive explains a lot about the the investment that it is for the wearer or the one who may get it for him.It comes in a case that is great for storing the watch in and has that durability factor that makes sure the watch is protected. Diesel is known for creating timepieces that make a statement, and this one definitely does that and more.
