This ring is stainless steel and not sterling silver. I am glad of that as silver tends to tarnish easily and over time the appearance will degrade somewhat. This arrived in standard Amazon packaging and there was no box, the ring was presented in two small clear sealable bags. Not the best presentation but it was inexpensive and I ordered it for me, not as a gift for someone else.My first thoughts were that it is fairly substantial, quite heavy given it's size but steel is heavier than silver. The finishing is very matte and has a brushed look to it. It's quite unassuming and not really statement piece of jewelry but I like that about it. There is no detail to it at all. I think the edges around the cushion could be cleaner and more pronounced but all in all it's a good buy and I have been happily wearing it since received. Given it's stainless steel it's completely fine to wear in the shower and I can tell it will last a long time. I'm happy with my purchase.
