Product Description

The "HYAKUICHI" brand started in 2013, in Kyoto, Japan. "HYAKUICHI" means "101" in Japanese.
It aroused considerable interest as soon as it was put on sale, and the first production batch was sold out in just a few months. Afterwards, it remained a customer favorite, and despite only being available online the total sales of the series in the three years since it was put on the market exceeds ten thousand units.

The biggest draws of this brand, which has attracted fans from all walks of life, are its high quality and outstanding design for an affordable price. The up-and-coming Japanese brand ""HYAKUICHI"" has finally landed in America.

200M water resistant: This watch is 200M water resistant. On top of day to day usage, it can also be worn when swimming or diving.

Lumibrite: This watch has lumibrite, which absorbs light from the sun and lighting equipment, and emits light when it's dark. So you can check the time, even when it's dark. The large index adds to this feature.

I've had this watch for a month so far and have no complaints. The bracelet links are solid, it has a screw-down crown, the bezel rotates easily and after setting it (using time.gov) it has been about 8 seconds fast in that month. The lume is decent as long as it's been exposed to light for long enough. I can still read it in the middle of the night if the face has been exposed to light. For $99 I'm very happy with it. I haven't had it under water, so can't comment on its water repellancy, though I did put in a sink full of water for a few minutes and there were no signs of water getting in the watch.UPDATE JAN 13, 2017Had the watch a month and a half. Still working flawlessly. It's been to Zihuatanejo, Mexico and handled the pool, Playa La Madera and Playa Las Gatas (snorkeling) like a champ. I put a Zulu Diver 400 rubber strap on it and it looks great. Awaiting a Bond NATO.

Good quality watch. But ....The watch I got has a problem with the magnifier glass that is not centered to the date window (there is an offset from the center and down). Also the band is not 22mm. It starts with 22mm and after 10mm become 20mm, after 10mm more it becomes 18mm and stay like that all the way to the backle. Also the band pinches the hair on my hand.Currently the watch keeps the time accurate. I'll check it forward and if I discover anything new I will change this review.Overall it is a good looking watch but you may consider that you will have to replace the band if you are expecting a 22mm band.I contacted Amazon Customer Service and they didn't want to compensate me for the misleading about the band width.

Amazon purchased. I am an avid submariner fan, but as of now I'm still in the process of saving money for it. Then I saw this at Amazon, and immediately bought it. Here are my observations on the watch:Watch dial is a black matte finish, the Mercedes hands look OK, and it has luminous hour markers, but I guess you have to expose them to light for quite a while before they will give out the bright glow. The bezel turns smoothly, like 120 clicks. The case, is on the 43mm size. There is a cyclops, and it magnifies the date number well. The movement is Quartz, so you will see the *tick* of the second hand when you look closely. Of course, being a Quartz movement, be ready to change the battery in a couple of years, hopefully. The bracelet feels like a good quality stainless steel, and it does not rattle when you shake it. There is NO wetsuit extension.Water resistant: Yes, I've worn it on the shower, and still wear it when washing my handsAll in all, this is a good all around watch, for daily use. If you already have a submariner, you can use this as a knock around substitute. If you don't have a submariner yet, this might help relieve the itch, for some time.I highly recommend this watch, might buy another soon!

Fantastic watch. I have a gold and stainless Rolex submariner, that has to be repaired after twenty years. After they told me how much it was to repair it, I started looking for other options. I saw this watch, which appeared to be just like my Rolex, only in stainless. The price was right, so I took the chance. I now don't care if I ever fix the other watch. This watch is very hard to distinguish between it and the original, except the movement. Excellent quality. Bezel turns with a click. Changing time and date are just like the other and very easy. I have only had it for three weeks, but from what I have experienced so far, it appears to be a great watch. Company I purchased it from shipped immediately, from Japan, and it arrived in less than a week. I highly recommend both

I've had this watch for a little over a month now and it's a beautiful watch on appearance and seems to run well. I don't wear it everyday, but it's been worn quite a bit and nothing appears to come up unexpectedly. For the price it's a great piece and looks very much like the real deal and I've had many people take a second look to make sure it wasn't.Pays great homage to the real deal, and if it's a Seiko on the inside, it should last for a long time like the other Seikos I've had in the past.

Really impressed great looking watch, honest price, quartz movement means not having to service the watch every other year for accuracy, like other automatic diver watches.Great band, perfect watch size not bulky or flimsy.Easy to read, excellent magnifying loupe, bezel unidirectional feels solid and its flat black finish whether could be ceramic or metal, really accentuated the stainless steel finish.

It is a good watch and the accuracy is very good since it is a Japanese Quartz watch. Good for the Money for sure.
