This is not the seller's fault.The watch arrived in perfect condition… no damage, no scratches, no fingerprints, and perfectly functional.This watch is unique and definitely a conversation starter thanks to the hour hand being the earth, and it has a bit of a secret to it.This watch comes with a link removal tool that has extra tips. A useful addition if you don’t already have one, but it is not of the highest quality. The screw caught up a few times when I first used it, and the powder coat is damaged in some areas. This doesn’t take away from the functionality, but I would have expected better quality control. I find it a bit odd that such a polished watch would be packaged with a less-than-stellar tool.With some effort, the Black Jade is scratched with a steel razor blade and creates a white powder.Everything dark except the watch's face is black jade (the case is also jade), but it’s hard to tell from the pictures and even in person unless you have just the right lighting. It is actually a very cool effect as only the keen-eyed will notice. While wearing the watch I noticed that only in direct sunlight does the green tone become obvious, and on overcast days it looks black.The watch face has a domed crystal (I can’t test if it’s sapphire). The Second and Minute hands on this watch are thin and have no Lume, so they are a bit hard to read in darker conditions and unusable during the night. The watch does feature a hacking movement and in the few days I have had it I have noticed it runs fast by about 15 seconds each day, which I would consider acceptable.Conclusion:If you like the unique design of the watch I would recommend it, the jade is very understated in a good way and if the gold plating holds up (only time will tell) this watch is great!

This is truly a beautiful product. There is a good weight to the product. I also appreciate that the manufacturer included a band links removal tool, so the customers can adjust the band length. My wrist is smaller, so I end up removing one link from each side of the clasp. This is borderline luxury.Here are a few things that could use some improvements:1. Instruction on first winding could use some picture of the side and illustrate the direction of winding. I could be wrong here, but I end up looking at the side and rotate the dial counter clock-wise when the dial is in position 0 (all the way pushed in). When you pull the pin to position 2 or all the way out, turning the dial counter clock will actually move the clock hand clock-wise.2. Link removal could also use some clearer illustration. I ended up using my phone to zoom in to the side and see that one side the pin has a split while the other does not. You want to push from the side that do not have a split/line.3. It could be the lighting in my living room, but it was hard to see the hands (seconds and hours).At the end of the day, I love seeing the working mechanic in the back of the watch and it is still a beautiful watch. I will have to wait to see about durability.
