I'm surprised at how durable this necklace is. 6 weeks in, and I anticipated that the gold plating would begin to flake off - I'm pleased to be wrong. All but the photo of the necklace being worn are after 6 weeks of use.So, I report only pros, no cons.The Masonic emblem is raised above the background (the background being a brick pattern under the mason tools), and it looks so much better than typical flat necklaces.It's fantastic purchase for an aspiring mason who's looking to help build a better world.

It's a well crafted mediation with clear lines and of good weight the chain is sturdy enough to handle it with top shelf clasps , it's a perfect size to stand out but still classy and discrete enough for everyday wear. Does it meet the standards as to what the medallion represents? this was gifted to a good friend who is a free Mason and he hasn't taken it off since he received it. So I'd say yes

The chain is really well made and the clasp is really nice and strong and should last you for a long time.The emblem is nice and well crafted and looks really well made and sturdy.The only issue is that It's huge and heavy.It's the size of a half dollar, it's way bigger than shown in the pictures.I have just taking the emblem off and chose to use the chain instead.I recommend it just for the chain itself.

Although its not real gold, it does look like real 18k. 18k gold is a little more of a darker shade that stands out. The medallion is heavy and solid. The chain feels light mainly because of the link design. It feels good and looks when I'm wearing it. I ordered the larger 44mm medallion with the 24" inch chain. The medallion does feel a bit heavy, so if you plan to wear it for a long period of time, then maybe the smaller medallions would be better for you. Its an inexpensive good quality piece of jewelry. I do not feel any regrets after ordering this. I recommend it!!!
