I have been designing and crafting jewelry for 30 years. What started for me as one jewelry class at my local Recreation Center here in Oakland California turned into a small business suppling stores, galleries, museum shops and catalog companies across the country. It's been a fun ride.

You get invited to your best friend's girlfriend's birthday party last second. You know her but not well enough to know her interests. You ask him what she likes. He says "Dinosaurs. The Brontosaurus." You ask yourself how the hell you're going to find an age appropriate dinosaur gift for a girl turning 17 who likes dinosaurs.
