I work for an oceangoing educational tour boat and planned to add these to my roster of work-related accessories. The earrings are cute and are a lovely bright gold color, but unfortunately they sit a little awkwardly on my ears. If the clam shell is on top and the ring below, they jut forward and make it look like I have buddha ears. If you spin the clam to the bottom and the ring on top, the earrings pull forward away from the ear and just look odd. From a distance the earrings look like two concentric circles (clamshell is not so noticeable) but they are very charming up close. Would recommend if you want to incorporate a subtle nautical theme into your outfit.
