This is such an adorable necklace! You can get your initials engraved; it's engraved on both sides in a different font. The lock was smaller than I expected, but it's still cute. A simple, yet elegant addition to any outfit. I've had this necklace for a couple months and the chain is holding up well. It also has some bigger sized chain links by the clasp so you can adjust how much it hangs around your neck.Also, no, the pendant doesn't come off the necklace. The clasp on one side and the larger chains on the other side prevent it from sliding off.

**not original chain**I purchased this solely for the pendant. My fiancé and I both have “J “names and I thought it would be cute to get a gold pendant to go with the gold necklace he purchased for me for my birthday.I decided to go with a really affordable option for now, as he has hinted that he has purchased a different pendant as my wedding day gift. I bought this necklace to wear to an event and I really love it. I actually lost it and ended up buying another one to replace it. The chain is the perfect length, not too short but you can pick the different link sizes in the chain. The initial has different fonts on each size which is nice but I prefer the cursive so I'll probably only ever wear that side. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a simple gold necklace to wear.
