These are absolutely my new favorite earrings. The are so comfortable and don't get in the way when you are sleeping. They are easy to put on and the clasp is very secure. They come beautifully boxed and well packaged - including a nice pouch to store the earrings in. There is absolutely nothing cheap about these earrings. I would not hesitate to give these a gift. They look like they could be purchased at a jewelry store. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with these earrings. One more thing, since they are small, they would be excellent for a young girl.

I got these earrings with the garnet color and it's a very pretty deep red. The earrings are a highly polished shiny silver which I'm very happy about because in the product photos they almost look like they have a satin finish. They were very easy to put on even with their small size and they securely clasp with a click sound. Unclasping, however, took a bit more effort due to the secure clasp. It wasn't a big problem, but because they're small there's not alot to hold on to and it required a pretty good tug to undo the clasp (and I've got small hands and short fingernails so minimal obstacles to holding the earrings). The insertion part of the clasp is shaped like a crochet hook and I could definitely feel it as I was pulling out the earring. I wouldn't say it was so significant as to be uncomfortable, but it's noticeable. I have quite a lot of earrings and none of them have this issue. With regard to gifting, the cardboard box and velvet pouch are nice but for this price I think a small velvet lined hinged earring box that really showcases the earrings would offer a better presentation of this very pretty jewelry.

These sterling silver huggie hoop earrings look very pretty and the "Garnet" stone has a nice shine in the light and the shade of red I think is just right- neither too light or dark. The back of the earrings at first when I looked at them I thought they may be difficult to open/close just due to the small size of the earrings, but actually these earrings are not difficult to put on or take off ears and they feel very secure while on as well.Very versatile earrings that can compliment casual or more dressy outfits for various occasions.Overall, great quality earrings- am happy with them.Would recommend if you like the style.

MORGAN & PAIGERhodium-Plated Sterling Silver Huggie Hoop EarringsNickel-FreeHypoallergenicBirthstone: Garnet (January)These are really sweet little Huggie Hoop earrings! They are comfortable and easy to wear.I love the fact that they hinge in the center of the hoop, which makes them very easy to put on/take off. They feature very color-saturated "gems" and have the look of high-end, fine jewelry. I'm not sure if these "gemstones" are CZ or not, because the manufacturer doesn't specify this in their description. This simple design is appropriate for everyday jeans and T-shirt or a formal, dress occasion. In this fast-paced world, that's a definite plus!Perhaps the best part of these earrings is the fact that they are hypoallergenic. Many people have issues with base metals against their skin.All-in-all, I really like these sweet earrings!NOTE: The description does mention birthstones, but at this writing, there are only six color options.

Not sure what gives, but the earrings I received were no where near as nice as the ones in the product images, or those shared by other reviewers. The silver was dull and the stone was blemished, right in the middle of the stone, making it pretty obvious. Wouldn't gift them or wear in the condition I received. They had fallen behind a box so admittedly I forgot about them. By the time I was able to examine them, the return period had passed.

I got these in blue sapphire. Now, the seller doesn't specify exactly what these are - I'm fairly confident we're not looking at natural sapphire here, because that would absolutely not come at $30 for the pair (at time of review). Beyond that, it's hard to say. My first thought was blue CZ, because I've seen more than one seller claim that to be "created" sapphire. (It is absolutely NOT. Lab sapphire is corundum, just like a natural sapphire except made in a lab instead of a rock, and cubic zirconia is zircon.)So all that to say that these stones are flummoxing me. I don't deal with enough sapphire to know for sure, and testing isn't as straightforward as with some other stones. I suspect that a proper jeweler could give you an answer in a second, but I'm just a hobbyist, so I'm comparing this to a piece of known blue CZ. In terms of thermoconductivity, it is FAR closer to sapphire than zircon. In terms of the breath test, it's landing not as far as I'd like away from the CZ. It's giving pure blue on the flashlight test (an indication of sapphire rather than cz), but I can't get the known cz to give me anything but blue today, either.Eyeballs: These stones are objectively nicer looking than the known CZ. There's a better color, closer to what I'd call the "real" sapphire blue (though of course there's a range, it's the right tone to my eyeball - and that varies as well, of course). So I can't tell you with any degree of certainly what I'm holding here, and the listing hasn't said in a clear, unequivocal fashion. I can say that I have no reason to doubt that the setting is 925, as it's appropriately stamped and does not react to a magnet. I can tell you that if it does happen to be cz instead of lab sapphire, it's better than most. I can also tell you that there are sellers out here in these internet streets charging well more than this pair costs for known, fully disclosed czs.At the end of the day, yes, I would like better information, but I think these are probably worth the price even if they are just good czs - and if they're lab sapphire, they're an excellent price.
