I’ve tried them all! White leatherette is the best background for photographing jewelry!Black is ok, and works well for some colors, but most black displays are velvet, which is a magnet for dust and cat hair. Leatherette is the only way to go. The white does tend to show wear, and depending on use and where you store it, you may need replacements.Trust me. Leatherette is a great background for photographing jewelry.

While this stand is made to display earrings, it worked well to display my brooches by simply pushing the pins through between the fabric and metal.

We used them at our piercing studios. They’re a good affordable option for threadless or threaded jewelry. After a while the holes do widen a bit. If accidentally tilted to the side, some jewelry may drop. There’s better options but these have worked well for us!-ChavezSLO Piercing
