Got this box to lock up small pins and other jewelry in my consignment shop when I'm not there. It works just fine. Comes with two keys, has the peel-off protective film on it, and comes with a black velvet pad.It has a detachable stand that you can use to tilt the box but I'm not sure why they put it on the side with the lock... When I open the box, the top opens into me and my customers (I hope that makes sense)

I used this box a few times to see how well it could attract customers for items for sale in a booth setting such as fairs, local markets etc. I have a few items of moderate value in which customers can see the item and request me to allow them to handle them such as knives, jewelry, coins, etc. where you don't want them to be touched by everyone.It is lightweight, doesn't take up much room and suits my needs. If you need to display high value items such as expensive jewelry, silver/gold coins and such, I would be cautious as it is a small display that someone could easily grab and dash. One could put velcro attachments on the bottom and their table to make it a bit more difficult to do this. Also, it could be broken into but you may hear it being done.So, it becomes first a nice display unit for certain items with some degree of theft deterrence. If cared for and handled with care, it should last for quite some time. It does add a degree of elegance to tabled displayed merchandise.For personal use at home to use as a display unit, it may fit the need but there are more elegant designs for this. It could serve for other purposes, such as sewing kits, other hobbies, academic displays etc., and for the price it isn't outrageous.Overall I like it for what I use it for. It could be more robust to wear, damage and such but that would add to the price. For what it is, it works fine.

This small locking display case keeps out the dust. It would work well at home or in a retail setting, but it’s definitely small, lightweight and portable enough that someone could easily walk away with it if you weren’t paying close attention. I’m a bit disappointed overall. The clarity of the case is good, but it’s very thin and kind of flimsy. I’d say the box itself is a thin, more brittle plastic than it is acrylic, which I think of as being more dense, semi flexible and durable.It has 2 plastic hinges at the back that open and close smoothly. There’s a removable black fabric insert to help prevent scratches and provide an aesthetic backdrop. It comes with 2 pieces of detachable acrylic. The rectangular one can fit into the grooves in the bottom of the case and slightly tilt it. That one is more practical. The other one can be wedged in 2 different positions, through grooves along the bottom back side, to prop the case open. It doesn’t work very well, and looks kind of lopsided, especially combined with the flimsy acrylic lid. It would be a little bit better if there was an identical piece for the other side. There are 2 keys, which is nice, and the case locks and unlocks smoothly with a silver toned mechanism. At the current price point of $37.50, considering all of this, I expected a higher quality product. If you need a small, basic lightweight, portable display case that locks, and isn’t made for heavy daily use, this isn’t a bad option. It comes ready to use, no assembly required.

That said, you can easily remove it should it not be the right choice for whatever it is you may be displaying inside the case.Security is paramount when it comes to displaying valuable items, and this case delivers on that front as well. The lockable acrylic case gives me peace of mind knowing that my valuables are safe and secure, whether I'm showcasing them in a retail environment or in my personal collection. However, the locking feature doesn't really do anything unless the entire case is somehow secured to a table or desk. At the end of the day, the locking feature kind of feels silly on such a lightweight plastic case such as this. What is the lock really doing?The removable acrylic easel at the bottom, paired with the black velvet insert, allows for versatile presentation options. Whether I choose to place it on a desktop or stand it up with the easel, I can always achieve the perfect viewing angle. Additionally, the adjustable acrylic board allows me to customize the lid opening angle, further enhancing the presentation to different heights and angles.Overall, I highly recommend this display case to anyone looking for a stylish and secure way to showcase their jewelry, collectibles, or other cherished items. It's a well-crafted product that combines functionality with aesthetic appeal.

This is all I needed to prevent quick grabs at craft fairs so for me, it works. If you plan to use it to lock up pricey items that will be unattended, I wouldn't recommend this. It is small and lightweight so a person could easily just grab the whole box. Since it's made of plastic they would have no problem breaking into it at home. I think the intended purpose is probably what I am using it for. I sit in front of it and get jewelry out when someone wants something. Even still I wouldn't put something super valuable like diamonds in it because again, it could be grabbed and ran off with and is small enough to fit in a messenger bag. This probably sounds like a negative review but I don't mean for it to be. I think the box is very well-made and perfect for locking up small items or even knives or other things you wouldn't want someone to grab and run off with.
