I think this necklace is beautiful! I searched high and low for a coin necklace of this nature, and I wanted it to be fairly cost effective because I wasn't sure how much I'd wear it. For $12, I was expecting glorified costume jewelry, but I'd say what I got was closer to demi fine quality jewelry than costume jewelry. It's very shiny and has a nice tone on the gold. It has a good weight to it -- not too heavy and not so light that it doesn't stay where it should. They even finished the end opposite the clasp with a small crystal, which is small and refined enough to read as elegant and charming and not tacky. It has stayed nice and shiny, especially considering that I've worn it more than I anticipated to (I am a little careful with it, try to avoid regularly getting it wet and the like, so I have no idea if it'd hold up then). But definitely a great value for a beautiful piece and I am very pleased!
