I know this is meant to be a graduation gift but I got it for my boyfriend as a reference to a video game that we play together, because he is always the navigator in the game. It's very sturdy and has a really nice thick chain. He wears it daily and it has held up while he's working and going about his day. It's a long enough chain to be comfortable on a male thicker neck as well. It's very masculine and nice metal and it's a lovely gift. It makes a great gift and clearly he loves it.

This necklace is absolutely perfect as a gift (or for yourself) for the one who is about to embark into the world or who travels a lot. No matter what year they graduate or go off on their adventures having something sturdy, strong and nice looking to remind them, or youreself, of the people who gave ot to you or the circumstances for representing something positive this necklace is truly perfect. Also I dont think its just for males as anyone can wear this. It is a decent size and not too big to get in the way nor too smll not to be noticed. Very good product.

Liked the compass design but the detailing on the pendant was a bit 'muddy' - not as crisp as I was hoping for. But the price was right and made for a nice gift for a teenager

I was looking for something a little more substantial when I ordered this necklace/pendant in black. It strikes me as more appropriate for women/girls, as the chain is light and dainty and the compass pendant is small. This is not a quality issue, it's just a preference thing. That said, my wife likes it just the way it is.
