For the price you are getting a real 14k gold setting. The post is comfortable, the shine is lovely, and the backing is small but just right.However, the created opals of mine are not very well matched. One opal is practically perfect, slighted curved and glints with the blues and fiery oranges. The other? Not so much. It's flat, almost sits underneath the bezel edge, and looks like it's just a little orange glitter.If you get a matching pair, I would say it's worth it. They would be perfect if matched. But for the price, unless I simply got the one less than stellar pair, I'd see what others received.

The media could not be loaded.  These studs are very nice. They are small but perfect for every day use. Surprisingly they stay in place with the gold backs. They stay secure, so far. Although I think they'd be great for a toddler, I don't think the would be appropriate for them bc the backs do not screw on. The opal, which is why I ordered them is really nice too. You can see that they are opals. Nice color. No mistaking what they are.
