I really thought this was a good value and made a great souvenir for me even if I did not buy it in Crete. I ordered in Crete after not finding one that I liked there. For reference I uploaded my photo of this product (left - with chain through the loop) and my photo of the original from the archeological museum in Heraklion. Obviously not exactly the same, but fairly close. This product adds a bit more design to the three hanging circles and makes the lines on the bee/hornet abdomen stand out more with more deeply ridged lines. Texture is added to the held central circle and the eyes and the wings are textures and shiny rather than matte in the original. So they glamorized it a bit, but it still gives the impression of the original.

I have a smaller reproduction from the museum in Crete and this one compares very favorably. The workmanship is very good. It was a good idea. to do these in gold plating over silver as the museum copies are solid gold and this size would cost approximately $1000,00
