This budget watch requires a second look. I have been buying watches for more than half my life. The one thing most collectors find out is that you can never judge a watch by its appearance. This is an everyday wear watch that looks like is cost a bit. This is one of those misconceptions that it needs to cost way too much to be nice. Does that make sense? This is the perfect budget timepiece that will fool everyone. I do not know how long this will last as only time will tell. I did get it wet by doing dishes with the mother-in-law, and she purposely got it wet. I would have to check on the 30m waterproof. Yes, 5 stars for the AIYISHI Store.

I'm a watch guy, and I own a number of AIYISHI made men's fashion watches. I like their stylish and avant garde designs, and relatively decent quality. The low entry price makes them an great value. I know cellphones have made wristwatches obsolete to a generation of people. But if you still appreciate the analog face of a finely designed watch, then you'd be interested in their offerings.This AIYISHI model is offered under their GEDIYAR label. I chose the black face/black case version. I would have preferred black on a polished silver case but none are offered. The style is a facsimile of a sport diver's watch, with a somewhat squared case, crown protectors, and a pseudo unidirectional bezel that's casted into the case. It's knurled and has numerals and minute markers silkscreened onto it. This is a trending big face watch. The face is textured in black, with big numbers at 3, 6, 9, while the rest are hour markers in dots and a single triangle to designate 12 o'clock. The minute hash marks are white and legible. The hands resemble those from a TAG Heuer or Rolex, with the recognizable Mercedes triangle emblem on the hour hand. The three hands are Lume painted, and glow rather dimly, and although the hour markers appear to be glow in the dark, they are NOT Lume painted. And that's a shame. The face also has a nice date window which is a 3-date display of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. And a red arrow points to today's date. The overall design is very good and easy to read. It does resemble sport watches, and/or military-pilot watches. I found the look aesthetically pleasing.The rest of the watch consists of a snap-on stainless steel case back. Although it has 6 points stamped into it to mimic a threaded cover, it is not. And it claims 3 ATM of water resistance, I would not tempt fate by swimming with it though, being a snap on case back. The crown is not threaded.Speaking of the crown. Here is where we begin discussing what I found to dislike about this watch. The crown is typical operation of pull out once for date, and twice for time adjustment. I found the crown to hand movement to be too sensitive. A little rotation causes the minute hand to turn quickly, and it's so light to the touch that each time you push the crown in, the minute hand jumps. And you must do it all over again. Setting the time is frustrating on this model, unlike my previous AIYISHI watches. Minus a star!The other discovery that cost this watch another star, is that the face is misaligned in the case. You can clearly see the 12 o'clock position of the face marker and the mark on the bezel don't line up. And is off by nearly a second. Disappointing.Overall, the watch is still a good value like all AIYISHI offerings. You get a 22mm silicone watch band that is excellent quality and very comfortable. The rest of the construction and finish are excellent. You are still hard pressed to find a watch this nice at this price range. If mine is an odd one-off example, then I can be unbiased to still recommend it. I have another version in green on order. Should the misalignment still exists, then I will update and change my mind on this model.2024-04-30 UPDATE:The green colored model has been delivered and this sample doesn't suffer from face misalignment. So it may be an isolated case with the black model I got sent. After studying the green version, too bad the company didn't release a blue face-polished silver case and navy blue band version. That would have been a winner. More so than the green version.

For the price, this watch rivals many of the more expensive offerings!Aside from the stunning look offered by its green band and color scheme, its easy to use, easy to set, and easy on the eyes!The silicon band is not only extremely comfortable, but the close proximity of the buckle holes make it super easy to find the perfect fit for your wrist - something which is lacking in more expensive brands.For the super price this is offered at, a date function is like getting a freebie in addition to the basic watch functions.Despite its ultra-low pricing, this is a watch I would not hesitate to wear at just about any function or event.A definite 10 for me, and highly recommendable as a gift that's appropriate for almost any occasion.

I didn’t have any expectation for this watch because of the low price, it’s just too inexpensive to take seriously. When it arrived I was very surprised by the watch, it’s actually pretty good. The silicon bad is soft and flexible like a silicon band should be. The hour markers are applied rather than printer on the dial. The hands are illuminated! I haven’t owned the watch long but it is keeping good time so far. Pick one up for your young kid or someone who is always late, it’s only a few bucks and totally worth it.

This keeps good time, the band is easily adjustable to fit absolutely anybody, and st this price you won't be destroyed if it is lost or damaged on your travels. My eyes are not great, but I still I find it very easy to read in low light except for the date feature, but that doesn't seem very important to me.
