I came here prepared to pick this thing to death - I look hard at jewelry because I know it's super easy to send junk and many people won't notice the difference. I was not expecting to be surprised today, but here we are.This comes packaged in the neatest little presentation box that then contains one of those plastic black frame boxes (can't remember the name offhand). The (cardboard) presentation box is one I've never seen before, and that is SAYING something. It's neat. It also comes with a little Christmas card and a brand info card, all in a small plain brown cardboard box - not really for shipping, but let's say the one you'd gift wrap so you don't get tape all over the other one.There's no way to verify the gold plating for sure (well, no way in my home - you can absolutely take it to a jeweler, but that's beyond the scope of this review), but the pearls are absolutely real and have a nicer nacre than expected at the price point. They're baroque and reasonably well matched for color and shape, again especially at the price point.I am, shockingly, not mad at this. Not even a little. SOLID 4 star rating, and it's probably a 4+ or 4.4ish if I had the luxury of decimals.
