Luminox is known for quality watches that can be worn in less than ideal environments and conditions. This one is no exception. It has a simple sturdy design and is very comfortable to wear. I work in a sandy, industrial environment and so far it has held up well. It's very accurate and the date magnifier is a definite plus. I immediately changed out the fabric strap for the extra included rubber strap, which was fairly easy to do with the included tool. The bezel has a sturdy design and the sapphire watch face can take a beating and not scratch. My watch was sold by River Edge Jewelers and I'm guessing it was a display model because the instruction manual and Luminox cardboard wrap were not included. This didn't bother me because I'm familiar with the date and time adjustments and the watch face/ back seals were still intact. River Edge also included the Luminox warranty card in the case. As far as aesthetics are concerned, it's a great looking watch and I really like the military green face. The Luminox coating is easy to read at night and the date magnifier is a definite plus. The Navy SEAL budweiser insignia is only embossed on the back of the watch. Being prior Navy, I know that the SEALs are issued their own unique watch so don't worry about someone thinking you are part of the community. Finally, as a piece of advice, if you're not familiar with a manual crown watch, syncing up the date and time is simple. Once you set both but then notice the date isn't changing at midnight, simply set the time another twelve hours ahead. I know this seems like common sense, but many people simply don't realize it. Overall, this is an excellent, stylish watch built for everyday use and I can't recommend it enough.
