I like the design and quality of the of the Heart Paw Photo Locket Necklace, however it is smaller than I hoped it would be. It opens easily, and I have placed some of my dog's hair inside as intended. The locket is stamped with S925, indicating it is sterling silver, however the chain itself is missing any such S925 stamp, and it appears to be stainless steel rather than S925 sterling silver. The chain is nice however as it is made of larger links it makes a noise when the locket slides on it, so I am using another chain (white gold) instead. I wanted to get the locket engraved however I chose not to in case I did not like it and would allow me to return the locket. Other reviewers have commented their engravings were too small to read. I would suggest keeping this in mind when considering getting it personalized. IMHO there is only room for a name and MAYBE a year (year of death perhaps).

I purchased the Tree of Life locket for my mother to commemorate the passing of my sister. It is lightweight sterling silver with an adjustable length chain. I had no problems opening the locket and was able to easily add my sister's photo inside. The "Forever in my heart" engraving on the back makes this a very special gift, either as a memorial or as a celebration of loved ones.
