Eventually the front medical symbol fades to a rose gold-like color. I think I had chosen silver originally for it. (I just know it wasn't rose gold.) The black has remained well. The back inscription I had done is still clear and didn't change colors.I wear mine all the time. Not too heavy. Heart is about the size of a quarter and about the weight of two quarters. Chain has been good thus far. Hasn't broken.
