My wife is sensitive to the weight of earrings she wears, as the heavy ones are not comfortable to wear. These are not that heavy, so are comfortable for her, but yet are sturdy and since they are .925 sterling, they should not tarnish that quickly (she does polish them with silver polish every month or two).These are a pretty "hammered" design, so they shine, but yet have hammered areas in them, so fingerprints or smudges do not show easily. With the current 15% coupon on the $40 price, these are $34, which is a good deal for .925 pure silver.
