This was a impulse buy for a few parties this year. I layed this with a pendant necklace. I'm a jewlery girl and I have a whole truck to show for it. That said, I know how to care for and handle my bling. Unfortunatley this chain broke twice with normal use. I have in 40 years, had one other of my sterling chains break, and it was old. this one was caught on a little tag in my shirt and I reached back to pull it aside and the link openend up. I blamed myself and had it repaired. Then, It got caught on another clasp and fell off while I was wearing it, the chain broke again. I love the style, but I feel like I will make a purchase of a similar style of better quality. For that reason, I would not receommend as a gift.
