The description indicates that it is a "leather" jewelry box with "glass" top, neither of which are true. I did not assume so, but others might, so it's misleading. The material is a pvc faux leather and the glass top is clear acrylic. Kind of disappointed since acrylic scratches easily. Construction is of decent quality - my unit did not have any defects and it's functional for medium jewelry storage. The drawers slide in and out without any issues.You will need a bigger box or multiple boxes if you own lots of jewelry like I do though. It's a good looking box, looks very nice sitting on your dresser, vanity, or desk, and serves its purpose, so no major complaints. Price is also fair. Wish it came with more optional partitions though, since the latter two drawers only hold loose jewelry without really organizing it. Would buy again as a gift for someone who does not own a lot of pieces.

We have gotten a couple of these now. And that is because we were impressed with them so much with the first experience. They are beautifully made. They are crafted well with precision and skill. The upholstery is quality and beautifully attached. No crooked lines no uneven or non-symmetrical sides or proportions. The entire box is just exactly what one would want in a jewelry box. I don’t think I could say that it is very conducive for travel, necessarily simply because of the size and the nature of the box, and how it opens. But that’s just fine because I would not purchase this box to be my travel jewelry box. But I suppose it is small enough you could travel with it, should you so choose. Anyway, we are very pleased with the beautiful box. We are pleased with how it was made and the materials used in its construction. We have not been disappointed with this particular jewelry boxes.

Got the product and the glass was entirely shattered when opened. Very sad about it especially because I thought it would be great due to its prior reviews.
