This is a 2-piece costume brooch with chains. The larger is just under 1” wide by a little over 1” tall and has horns and feathery wings. The smaller piece has a similar design but is just ¼” in diameter. Both pieces have pinch clasps on the back. They are connected by 2 chains, the shorter of which is 3” long. The piece comes in a ziplock bag packaged inside a cardboard box.I find this an interesting piece of costume jewelry. It goes well on my denim jacket. It’s hard to make out the design, either up close or at a distance, but the metal is quite shiny. Overall, this is a fun piece of costume jewelry, but I wouldn’t plan on wearing with formal or office attire.

The pin isn't a high quality, it's a cheaply made pin but it looks nice and adds character and style. The back of both the black design and the crystal are both a push pin style which isn't my preference but works fine. The chains are fairly weak and will probably break if the catch even slightly on things but add for a nice touch. The dragon's head looks more like a lion's head to me. I'm guessing it's modeled after am more Chinese style dragon. The details aren't the greatest though.They come packaged in box that's cute and makes it more giftable but the boxes (I've ordered several pins from this company) are not always well constructed. When they are it looks a little classier and when their not it looks cheap. Inside the box the pin is packed in a small plastic zipper bag. That comes across cheap to me when jewelry arrives in a plastic bag.The packaging does not keep the pin from sliding in the box unfortunately which means that pins like these with chains can become tangled but it was not difficult to untangle.

This pin came shipped in a cute box that would be great for gift wrapping.The dragon heads are very snazzy looking!The pin itself is a bright and shiny gold color and looks great on darker fabrics. It is very detailed and nice looking. The chains tend to get twisted and tangled, but I expected that to happen. It takes a couple minutes to straighten out the links once you have the pin attached to your lapel.It is costume jewelry, so skin oils will eventually discolor it. It is a pin, so it shouldn't have too much contact with the skin and discoloration shouldn't be an issue for much longer than if it were a ring or bracelet.

Golden dragon heads with a delicate chain connecting them. It looks quite stylish. Typical pin and squeeze holder to attach securely to the lapel for each of the heads. It's pretty sturdy and should hold well under normal activity. The main head is about the size of my thumbnail. The smaller one a little less than half the size. Out of the box, the accessory looks a little on the cheap side. I wasn't impressed. When attached to the sport jacket, though...NICE!!!! I tried it on a bunch of different coats and found it looked most impressive on a solid navy fabric. It got a little lost on the grey coat, and certainly lacked boldness on any pinstripe or plaid. It looked okay on black, but a dark shirt really made the piece shine. The sculpting on the larger head is good. A small jewel for the eyes would have made this much more stunning. Still, there's enough of a definition to the piece to announce its presence, but it may require the observer to be close to clearly make out what the creature is. Very sharp!

If you’re reading this review what you really want to know is, “should I buy this?”. The honest answer is MAYBE, here’s why.Ok, let me start off by saying that I have had a thing for dragon every since I was a kid, so if you make something and tell me it’s a dragon then chances are I’m going to have to have it. First, I’ll say that this is a really nice pin. I have several KINGPiiN’s and the quality is equal to most of those. The problem came when I tested it buy wearing it around for a few days, the general consensus was, “that’s a nice pin. but what is it?”. And therein lies the problem. If someone is looking right at it or even holding it and still can’t tell what it is, that kind of defeats the purpose, doesn’t it? Seriously, at that point it’s pretty much just a gold dangly thing on your coat and a crusher of my dragon pin dreams. The other big problem for me was, after telling people what it was, they could “kind of” see it in the big one but they’d usually follow it up with, “oh, I can sorta see it now, so what’s the little one supposed to be?” (sigh).So, do I recommend this pin? Based on the 2 things I mentioned I’d have to say not really. I mean, if you’re someone looking for an “obvious” dragon pin, this is just not it. However, if, like me, you’re someone who’s obsessed with all things dragon(y) then I guess it’s kind of cool to have.Bottom line, considering that at the time of this review this pin is almost $14. Very pretty pin, perfect for securing a scarf on a woman’s blazer or coat. A bit too gaudy for most men.My daughter loves it. She wears a lot of scarves and it is just perfect for this.The pin is very well made, nicely designed and makes a statement.

You can't go wrong with this one, it's simply stunning. KingPiin is a great option for affordable jewelry. They are marketed for men but anyone else who wants to wear them will love them, I wear them all the time! This one is beautiful and really looks nice and I have never had any problems with any of KingPiin items in my collection.
