I bought this for my 90+ year old grandfather. He was wearing a Casio Waveceptor for years until the leather band broke. I gave up trying to replace the band and bought him this watch. It has a large face (larger than I expected) which makes it easy to read. The band is nice too. The only con i can think of is it doesn't have luminous hands or numbers.

If you are new to La Crosse Technology, or other radio controlled clocks and watches, then following the setup instruction, that comes with the watch, could be a challenge. My watch came with the minute and hour hands needing alignment, the time zone was not preset correctly. I. t took five days for the radio control signal to find a way to my watch’ receiver, and it finally got that “radio tower” icon displayed. So, after a few days of exploring, experimenting, and patient waiting, I grew literally attached to this elegant design time piece. And, I got a good story to tell! "It's not a time piece, it's a conversation piece" (Mad Men)

My father always relied on his watch. Now approaching 90 years of age with poor eyesight, this watch has provided him with easy to read hour numerals and a date function. More importantly the watch has kept accurate time for 4 years of use, automatically switching between standard & daylight saving time. He has never complained about it and I have never had to readjust it after the initial setup.

Not worth the money, and maybe not worth anything. The minute hand pointer is all over the map as to position, so much so that you can't tell what minute it is indicating. At first I thought I had it figured out by switching the display to seconds, but that wasn't definitive either. Whenever the digital display of seconds reads 00, the minute pointer should be pointing precisely at a minute tick mark, but it doesn't. So, the radio controlled feature of this watch is lost by the imprecise minute hand pointer. Either my particular watch is defective, or there is a design defect at work here. I would not recommend it. For a radio controlled watch, you need 100% digital display. Save your money. I wish I could return mine for a refund. It is an oversized, overpriced piece of junk. Since I can no longer return mine, I threw it in the trash, where it will be in appropriate company.

Actually I was quite surprised when the watch came in a very attractive wooden box! Sometimes this is called going the "extra mile".The watch is a bit more than what more than I expected. Very attractive but the accuracy and the dates features is what I looked for and got it for a decent price. A local store had the Citizen brand and they wanted $ 330 and I was quoted this was discounted! This E. Howard watch is definitely a good buy!

really a great watch. I got it in June. I was disappointed when it failed to "fall back" this fall. I had to change the time zone to get the correct time. Then 3-4 days later, it did adjust, so I had to change the time zone again. Never did the antenna icon on the face disappear indicating loss of signal,,,so I don't don't what the problem was. Also, I downloaded the full manual from the website, but the manual was for a different watch.

I have two of these that I alternate between to change the band color. Very good basic watch that sets its own time from the radio clock signal.

The watch stopped working after one year. I took it to a watch repair shop and they told me it was not worth fixing. Typical of Chinese made products.
