I’ve had my ear conch pierced for over 15 years. I originally had it pierced with a ring that was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on because it was a tad too big. So, the majority of the time I've had this piercing I’ve had stud. I wanted to switch it up and found this clicker style ring. After reading some reviews, I purchased the 12mm. It was WAY too large for my ear, so I purchased the 8mm and it fits perfectly (see photo for reference ). The only issue with the smaller ring, is that it will naturally have a smaller hinge making it extremely difficult to open and close it. I even opened and closed it several times to loosen it up, but it has a very strong latch. At least I know this won’t fall out of my ear. I tried to unlatch it from my ear and it’s not coming undone. I don’t change my piercings, so looks like this is staying in until I need to cut it off or get my husband to use a pair of pliers. Regardless I would recommend this ring and recommend a ring that fits your ear with little swing to it. The more it swings the more uncomfortable it will be to sleep on. I’ve had no reactions to this ring and I’ve been wearing it for a couple weeks.

I bought this back in 2019, and it's 2022 now. I wear this thing almost constantly, and it is perfect. It's comfortable, it's sturdy, and it won't change your skin colors. It can honestly be kind of tricky to get closed, the hinge is a little odd, and it doesn't always line up easily when you are closing the latch. It can also be tricky to get it opened. But in my opinion it's worth the struggle of hooking it and unhooking it. I don't have a nose ring I love as much as this one. I've tried other brands and always come back to this one.

I can't speak for whether or not this ring will turn color or tarnish, but I'm very pleased with the style, the simplicity, and the comfort. I wanted a simple gold ring, which proved to be harder to find than I expected. 14kt was out of my price range, so was happy to find this gold-filled ring at a reasonable price. Gold filled is supposed to resist discoloration better than gold plated. You have to pull on it to actually get it open - and there are no instructions with the ring so I just looked at the graphic on amazon and figured it out. I bought the 14G/ 12mm but probably could have done better with the 10mm as the 12 is slightly bigger than I really need.

UPDATE October 14, 2020: Nearly two years later, and these babies are still going strong! I have NEVER removed them and they've given me exactly zero grief! The color is identical to when I purchased them. I have had no infection from these. Updated to five stars for longevity. My AirPod Pros are no problem to wear with these. 100% would recommend!***ORIGINAL REVIEW December 6, 2018***This is a beautiful, high quality earring. I bought one for each ear (word to the wise: they're single packages!).I wanted an earring that made it possible to still listen to my music with earbuds, and this works well. I have small ears, so the normal daith piercing jewelery with cute little jewels or balls just got in the way.My review loses one star for lack of instructions - I ended up using a file to open up the ring - a pen would probably have done the job just as well. Hopefully people with piercings understand they need to be hygienic when changing out their jewelry, but the precaution of instructions would have been a way for me to see the manufacturer in a better light.The ring closes securely and firmly. I expect to wear these for a long time!Packaging was just a card inside a small plastic pouch. The earring floated inside the pouch freely.Color is still pretty gold for me, but I don't mind (see picture). I got the 6mm size.

I got my first helix piercing back in November of ‘17. I tried the captive ball rings and quickly got fed up with always losing the ball to them, so I found these and ordered two: one rainbow and one rose gold (in case the rainbow broke and I needed a spare). Today was the first day I’ve taken it out to put another ring in and it looks like it did when I first bought it over a year ago. I just got my second helix piercing last week and ordered another one, which arrived today. These are super comfortable, so it’s easy to forget they’re even there. They’re also really easy to swap out and clean, there’s no hassle trying to place a ball or worrying about losing a part in the sink, and they’re small enough that even my long hair has never been tangled up in them. Only con: You need to keep a small box or ziploc bag to keep from losing them when they’re not in use. Otherwise, these are my absolute favorite ear jewelry and I will DEFINITELY be buying more colors in the near future once my new piercing heals!

I'm a little bit disappointed, I've had these Forbidden Body clicker rings in gold and silver for my nose ring for years and I LOVE them. I just ordered a gold and a silver for my cartilage piercing and they just aren't quite the same quality anymore. The ends don't quite line up perfectly without some wiggling and adjustment to click them in securely. Once clicked, they're incredibly smooth, comfortable, durable, and secure. They're also really easy to put in, just a bit of adjusting to get clicked with this latest batch, and easy to take out but so secure that you could never take it out by accident. They're still pretty much the only jewelry that I wear in my piercings, I'm just a little bummed at the decrease in quality.
