I have a metal allergy so I’m glad that different shapes are available - not only round ones!If you haven’t had plastic stud earrings before, you will find out that they are more fragile than regular earrings. You need to be more careful by moving slowly and carefully as you push the backing onto the plastic pin that goes through your ear. If you feel that the pin is bending, then change the angle that you are pushing on the back to make the earring go in straight. Also, adjusting your fingers to a different place on the backing can help. But really the most important thing is to move slowly and/or use a lubricant. Saline spray or water can be used as a lubricant to help slide the backs on the earrings more quickly and easily.The other thing that I’ve heard from reviewers on other plastic earrings is that the pin is too long so it hurts. However, there is a good reason that the manufacture put long pins on these plastic earrings. It is so that they can fit everyone and when ears get infected, they expand. So, sometimes an extra long pin is necessary to get through swollen times as the ears are healing.Those pins are made to cut shorter with scissors so that you can custom fit them to your needs. All you do is insert the pin. Then, insert the backing as usual to fit up against the back of your ear. Next, take scissors and cut off the back of the pin so that it is flat against the backing (make sure that you are looking in the mirror while you are doing this and flip your lobe or cartilage over so that you can see exactly where to cut). This way the pin cannot poke you anymore because it’s shorter after cutting it. It works so perfectly every time! Some people say to file the pins after cutting them but I haven’t had any issues with that. But if it was an issue, I would simply loosen the backing slightly so that the backing completely covered the pin so that it couldn’t poke me.Just over a month ago, I DIY’d those 5 upper piercings on my ear that you see in the photo with those cheap little disposable piercing guns that you buy on Amazon (easy and painless). But then my ears started really reacting to the metal from the piercing gun. So, at less than a week I had to swap out the metal earrings for the plastic ones you see in the photo.I know that I’m supposed to wait until they are fully healed to switch them out again but these iridescent earrings are so cute! I like that there are several different shapes but are the same color so they go together! And the mostly neutral color (just a bit of pink shine thrown in) of these Lolias earrings will compliment any color that I wear so I am going to change them out as soon as I have the guts!In the photos, I did a closeup that shows how the earring flashes a beautiful dark pink some of the time. In the 2 farther away pictures, you can see that the earring blends in with my skin tone more and you can get a feel for the size. For comparison, the CZs I have on are 4mm. I am really looking forward to having all that pink shine up my ear with all of them being the same but flashing lighter and darker!I hope this information, photos, and video have helped you figure out some things to make your experience with these kinds of earrings better and workable for you.
