Smelting is a procedure wherein a metal is extracted from its ore by heating beyond melting point, usually with the presence of oxidizing agents. Through smelting, pure metals such as silver ingots and gold ingots are produced.
Through the years our company has been able to witness firsthand the production process of fine gold and sterling silver jewelry since we have manufacturers who create sterling silver chain from smelting to final polishing and packaging. We also have ones who start from mixing alloys. We watched as the sterling silver gets poured into a casting machine, solidified, then formed into a rod. We observed as the sterling silver rod is turned into a coil then into a wire, which is then distributed to different types of machines that will create the silver chain we need. We were also given the opportunity to have a hands-on experience of soldering the clasps on the silver chain.
Each KoolJewelry gold filled chain necklace is placed inside a zip lock type bag, then packaged in a KoolJewlery branded black velvet pouch; ready for gift giving.

Looks absolutely gorgeous with the moissanite pendant I got. Only downside hair gets "twisted" in it and pulls it. Not anything that is manufactured defect just the design of the necklace itself. But I love it and the length was perfect.

The chain is very pretty, feels nice and seems strong but the spring clasp stopped working within a couple of days. My husband ended up replacing the clasp with one from another necklace because it fell off twice and I was so afraid I would lose the pendant I had on the chain that I had stopped wearing it.
