No offense to the designer, but these earrings are huge, heavy and look like a grade school craft project. I bought them to wear to a college Kentucky Derby party but had to return them b/c I would have been embarrassed!

When I first pulled these earrings out, I was shocked how large and clunky they were. From the backside, it is just a flat blob of metallic gold hard resin. From the front, you can see a gold blob shape that encompasses the sides of the horseshoe and the horse head. No lines separate the two. There are some thin black lines to distinguish the horse’s face. I do like the rhinestones placed on top of the horseshoe. But then the bottom of the horseshoe has a red blob on it that so faintly is marked to convey roses. Even looking just inches away it is difficult to see the markings. If I didn’t know it should be roses I would have no idea what it was. Unfortunately I have a Kentucky Derby party to attend and had planned to wear these earrings. I don’t think they will enhance my outfit, therefore they won’t be worn. I can’t imagine anywhere I would wear these to unless I were to grab a marker and try fixing the printing on them first. But the resin material still looks clunky and cheap. I gave this a 2/5 stars because the rhinestones are well glued on and there may be some way to salvage the earrings with my own creativity. Otherwise they will sit in a drawer, never to be worn.
